The Legal Action Center is the only nonprofit law and policy organization in the United States addressing the needs of persons with substance use disorders. The organization has national subject matter experts on Federal regulations governing confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse patient records (42 CFR Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy regulations.
This Webinar is a follow up to the “Patient Privacy and Confidentiality in the Changing Health Care Environment: HIPAA, 42CFR Part 2 and Health Care Reform” Webinar presented in February 2013. The Webinar includes a 1-hour presentation focusing on questions generated by SAMHSA’s SBIRT grantees on five topics:

- 2. SAMHSA’s FAQs on 42 C.F.R. Part 2
- 3. Insurance and Billing
- 4. Internal Communications
- 5. Qualified Services Organizational Agreements
The Webinar will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
